An international non-profit organization founded in 1972, ENDA is an association of autonomous entities co-ordinated by an Executive Secretariat based in Dakar, Senegal. ENDA's world wide representation includes 24 teams at the Dakar headquarters, (each working on development and environment themes), and is well represented in southern countries. Plan is an international, humanitarian and child focused development organization without religious, political or governmental affiliation. The Latin American & Caribbean network defending the rights of children is a group of 3,000 national and international non-governmental organisations from 24 countries, each of which were involved in the preparatory process for the Special Session on Children at the United Nations. In addition, Denis Caillaux, former Secretary General of CARE International, who worked for two decades with UNICEF, is also a member of the GMC Convening Committee and acts as the Secretary of the Board.
