Barcelona, 25 March 2011 - Following the presentation of the 2010 Committee on the Rights of the Child’s report and under the title Current Challenges in Human Rights: Child and Adolescent Rights called into question, the law faculty of the Universitat de Barcelona held a special seminar on the challenges child rights face today. Pre-consultation interviews highlight advocacy and communication potential of Commitment to Children Audit

Barcelona, 30 May 2011 – The international expert group working on the Commitment to Children Audit is about to submit the first draft of the concept paper, including both the international and the national audit modules, the audit units and the proposed set of indicators.  As planned, over the past month the working group has discussed the basic layout and common indicators of the national audit part and prepared the Guidelines for National Audit Panels that will allow experts to further analyse a country’s commitment and put it in context at country level. Children leave nearly 400 messages to Spanish President at Put Yourself in My Shoes stunt in Barcelona

Barcelona, 29 March 2011 - Held last week in Barcelona’s most visited shopping mall – Diagonal Mar – the Put Yourself in My Shoes exhibition proved to be a catchy campaigning idea attracting the attention from shoppers and passers-by. Almost 1.000 people were approached and informed about the purpose of the campaign. The Put Yourself in My Shoes campaign will be visiting Diagonal Mar shopping centre in Barcelona this week on the occasion of World Water Day to raise awareness on children's rights and engage passers-by in ongoing campaigns on child rights in Spain.  Put Yourself in My Shoes is an original exhibit displaying worn-down children's shoes from all parts of the world to tell the  stories of day-to-day life of millions of children in the world.
